In 2026, skinny jeans are once again taking a backseat, and Jessica Alba is proof. The actress retired her skinny denim in favor of barrel jeans, a silhouette shaping up to be a top denim trend this year. Fun yet wearable, the look instantly refreshes everyday outfits — which is precisely why we tracked down her exact pair.
While out in Los Angeles, the Honest Beauty founder opted for the We The Free Good Luck Mid-Rise Barrel Jeans, which are surprisingly under $100. For a trend-forward style with real-life wearability, that feels like money well spent.

These barrel-leg jeans lean into the relaxed, undone energy Free People does so well. The knee seam detailing subtly shapes the leg, while the roomy fit keeps the look easy and wearable. It’s exactly the fashion-forward yet effortless denim design that everyday shoppers tend to reach for.
The jeans deliver a more classic, structured fit that keeps its shape. They’re also crafted with recycled cotton and lyocell, which adds comfort without compromising on sustainability. With 17 washes and short, regular and long inseams available, it’s easy to find your perfect pair.
One Free People reviewer shared that they “can’t get enough” of the jeans and now owns them in three colors to “rotate” daily. Another shopper called them their “most worn pair,” noting how easily they pair with sweaters, T-shirts, and more.
If Alba is reaching for barrel-leg jeans instead of skinnies, consider this your cue! The silhouette feels comfy, stylish and seamless to work into your everyday looks. Get your pair at Free People before sizes and washes inevitably sell out.
