Blake Shelton and wife Gwen Stefani are embracing their farming era on their Oklahoma ranch.
“This year, we decided we’re gonna do some actual, real professional gardening — farming-type stuff out here,” Shelton, 49, said via Instagram in a video shared on Wednesday, March 4, featuring his orange Kubota.
“Me and my wife, I’ll put a picture of my wife on here. You won’t believe this s***. Her name’s Gwen,” Shelton joked before inserting a throwback photo of Stefani, 56, on the screen with pink hair and braces. “We were out here putting this plastic out yesterday, just she and I, nobody else. It sucked. It’s hard work, but we’re going to plant vegetables in here to keep the weeds out.”
Shelton revealed that they planned to plant tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumbers on their land.
“My stepdad used to always say cucumbers aren’t good for anything but a dick on the snowman, but we’re going to plant some anyway,” the “God’s Country” singer said. “I don’t eat any vegetables in the first place, but it’s fun.”
Shelton then panned the camera to another area of land, explaining that he was eager to plant a sweet corn patch this year.
“I’ve already started working it up a little bit and I’m gonna till it a couple more times to get it worked up because spring is almost here, people,” he said before excitedly screaming and singing a song about his orange Kubota.
In the post’s caption, Shelton wrote, “We’re doing it.. we’re really doing it this year… @gwenstefani and I are stepping it up!!!!”
Shelton and Stefani reside on a sprawling 1,300-acre farm, which holds a sentimental meaning for the pair, as it’s where he proposed to her in October 2020. They tied the knot in a private chapel on the property the following year.

“I didn’t see any of this coming with Blake. This was just a big old ‘What?’ It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time,” Stefani told People in September 2023 of her husband, whom she first met while coaching The Voice in April 2014.
For Stefani, moving to Oklahoma after she and Shelton got together just felt right.
“He’s changed my life … when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy,’” she told the outlet.
The No Doubt singer admitted that it took some time for her to get used to her new surroundings on the farm.
“I am not really a dirt person, a bug person, I don’t like that much humidity,” she joked. “But it’s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you’re going into this vortex. Nature — and God — is all right there.”
