Ginny and Georgia officially finished filming season 4 — and some cast members aren’t quite ready to say goodbye.
Scott Porter, who plays Paul, shared photos from his last days filming the show via Instagram on Saturday, March 7, writing, “Stepped on set for the last time for Season 4 last night. I love being there for the final curtain, whether I’m working or not, and this time I wasn’t. Getting to sit and watch our cast & crew put their hearts into this show until the very last cut is such an honor. I will ALWAYS show up for this family.”
Porter, 46, confirmed that production is complete on the upcoming season.
“So, That’s a wrap on season 4. Tears were shed, both of pure joy and a tinge of the bittersweet,” he noted. “Proud to be a part of it all. So excited that it’s onto the next stage for y’all to see it! We hope you love it.”
He continued: “Since it was the last night you know I had to come correct, so put on a fit and went in. Can’t share the other pics from the night until later because we were on sets and folks were in costume, but they’ll come eventually. Love y’all. Until next time, Wellsbury!”
Ginny & Georgia, which premiered in 2021, follows a young single mother who moves her family to a new place after running away from her past. The Netflix series stars Porter, Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry, Diesel La Torraca, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass and Raymond Ablack.
When season 3 wrapped up, Ginny (Gentry) and her brother, Austin (La Torraca), found a way to help Georgia (Howey) escape prison time by framing her ex Gil (Aaron Ashmore) for murder. The family didn’t get to celebrate their new normal for long, because by the end of the episode, Ginny realized Georgia was pregnant. The problem? It was unclear whether her estranged husband, Paul (Porter), or love interest Joe (Ablack) was the father.
“Listen, our show deals in high drama. We rarely take the easy way out,” Porter exclusively teased to Us Weekly in June 2025. “If you want all of this craziness to continue, it being Paul’s baby is pretty interesting.”
Porter admitted he could see why Joe might be revealed as the father, adding, “The show has definitely let you know that there is something that needs to be explored with Joe and Georgia. If you want to see that to its complete [and] happy ending — which I’m not sure we get on our show — then Joe should be the dad.”
At the time, Porter noted he already put all his trust in the writers’ room.
“I know our writers are gonna handle this incredibly well,” he noted. “They’re gonna keep you on the edge of your seat. Right now, I’m a fan just like you. So I know nothing and I will wait and see.”
