Tate McRae reacted to her music being featured in Heated Rivalry fan edits after making some hockey headlines of her own.
McRae, 22, shared clips of her song “Revolving Door” being used as the soundtrack for the romance between Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander, played by Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, respectively, in videos edited together by members of the show’s dedicated fanbase.
“Thank god for these edits ????????????????????,” McRae captioned one of the videos.
The pop star also shared a video of “Revolving Door” being played at a Heated Rivalry dance party, which have become popular in the wake of the show’s success.
“This 1. Thank you,” McRae wrote.
McRae’s posts came just days after Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that she and Team USA hockey hero Jack Hughes are dating.
“They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other,” the source said.

The insider said the pair connected after Hughes, 24, “initially messaged her on IG and started a conversation.”
“She thinks he is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,” the source added. “She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.”
Hughes, who scored the overtime game-winning goal in Team USA’s gold medal win against Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics, is currently a superstar forward for the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
“They are making it work during this busy season, but hope to have more time together next month when his season ends,” the source said, adding, “Tate thinks he’s really sweet and it’s going well so far.”
McRae and Hughes were first linked in December 2025, when they were spotted out together in New York City the day after she attended one of his home games.
Hughes has managed to find himself in some water after his gold medal heroics in Milano Cortina, after he was seen on video laughing after President Donald Trump said he would “probably be impeached” if he didn’t invite the Team USA women’s hockey team to the White House after they also took home gold at the Olympics.
“You’re in the moment, the president calls,” Hughes told reporters on February 25. “We’re blaring the music and then they pause the music and then the president calls. I don’t think … obviously, it is what it is now.”
Hughes added, “We have so much respect for the women’s team. They have so much respect for us. We’re all just proud Americans. We’re happy that we both swept the Olympics.”
