Amid his split from ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has the support of another Dallas legend in Michael Irvin.
“Praying for My guy @dak and his beautiful family. ????????????????????????,” Irvin, 60, wrote via X on Monday, March 9.
Ramos confirmed to People that the two were no longer together through a representative on Monday.
“There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up,” the rep said. “It was a mutual decision.”
Ramos and Prescott, 32, have been together since 2023 and they share daughters Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose, 2, and Aurora Rayne, 9 months.
“They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way,” the’ rep added. “It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
Their wedding was scheduled for April 10 in Lake Como, Italy, but according to TMZ, the couple sent an email to the 250 expected guests to tell them the ceremony had been called off.
“It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding,” the email read. “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.”
Their split occurred after a “blowup” argument at the couple’s joint bachelor and bachelorette party in the Bahamas, according to TMZ Ramos took to Instagram on Monday to shoot down a persistent rumor about the demise of their relationship. (Us Weekly has reached out to Prescott and Ramos’ reps for comment.)
“This had nothing to do with a prenup,” she wrote via Instagram on Monday, March 9. “I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”
The comment came under a clip from the “Speakeasy” podcast where the hosts speculated about the alleged prenup.
“I am anti-prenup,” host Emmanuel Acho opined. “I believe that if you need a contingency plan for marriage, you shouldn’t be marrying them. If you need to protect yourself from your future partner, who you have to lay in bed with every night — the potential mother or father of your children — you shouldn’t be marrying them.”
Just days before, Ramos shared a cryptic post via Instagram, showing highlights from the bachelorette party with a caption that seemingly implied trouble.
“I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends,” she wrote on Thursday, March 5. “I love these girls so much ❤️????❤️????❤️????❤️????.”
