Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott and his ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos’ abrupt decision to call off their wedding came as a result of the quarterback’s infidelity, according to a story from Page Six published on Tuesday, March 10.
Ramos reportedly knew about Prescott’s history of communicating with other women during their relationship, but she hoped he would stop for the sake of their family. Prescott, 32, and Ramos started dating in 2023 and share daughters Margaret, 2, and Aurora, 9 months.
The former couple intended to get married on April 10 in a ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.
Ramos and Prescott had been discussing their issues, which came to a head after a joint bachelor and bachelorette party in the Bahamas, according to Page Six. That’s where Ramos reportedly learned that the QB had been using incognito social media accounts to send “inappropriate” messages to multiple women and “ex-flings.”
A source told Page Six that Ramos is now “done” with their romantic relationship and would prefer to focus on coparenting the couple’s two kids.
Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for both Prescott and Ramos for comment.
The report comes after Ramos threw cold water on the rumor that their split was related to a disagreement over a prenup. She took to Instagram on Monday, March 9, to comment on a video from the “Speakeasy” podcast where the hosts were discussing the rumor.
“This had nothing to do with a prenup,” she wrote in the comments section. “I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”
The revelation about Prescott’s alleged infidelity also follows a rep for Ramos telling People that their decision to call off the wedding was “mutual.”
“There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up,” the rep said. “It was a mutual decision.”
The rep continued, “They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way. It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
That same day, TMZ reported that the couple sent a mass email to their 250 wedding guests to tell them that the wedding was off.
“It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding,” the email read. “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.”
Ramos hinted at a potential problem in their relationship on Thursday, March 5, when she posted photos from her bachelorette party.
“I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends,” she wrote in the caption. “I love these girls so much ❤️????❤️????❤️????❤️????.”
