Meghan McCain isn’t here for the postpartum body police.
“Keep the fat comments coming because I’m sorry to disappoint so many of you, I will not be going on any of the ozempic shots despite just having my third child,” McCain, 41, wrote via X on Monday, March 9. “No judgment to those that do, but I just don’t believe in the concept of a magic shot — everything has a price. *I also don’t want my face to change.”
The TV personality fired back at commenters who criticized her figure just two months after welcoming baby No. 3 with her husband, Ben Domenech, making it clear that she refuses to feel the pressure to bounce back right away.
McCain announced the arrival of her new addition in January, one day after welcoming the couple’s first son via C-section. (The Bad Republican author, whose parents are Cindy McCain and late U.S. Senator John McCain, and Domenech, 44, are also proud parents of daughters Liberty, 5, and Clover, 2.)
“We are absolutely over the moon to share that our son Ransom McCain Domenech has finally arrived at the crack of dawn January 2nd at 9lbs 2 oz. We are all blissed out over the moon,” she wrote in her Instagram caption. “Everyone is happy, healthy and exhausted.”
McCain expressed her utmost gratitude to the “incredible doctors and medical staff who took such wonderful care of all of us,” sharing that her girls “couldn’t be more excited to have a baby brother.”
“Our family is overwhelmed with blessings, thank you all for your kind words, well wishes and prayers!” she concluded. “Our family is officially a party of 5.”
McCain spoke candidly about her motherhood journey during an interview with People in January 2024, noting that it can get busy as a working mom raising her children in Washington D.C.
“You really have to be so patient to have kids,” she told the outlet. “Every single day is like an exercise in patience and humility because you know nothing is about you anymore.”
