Noah Cyrus and mom Tish Cyrus were all smiles during a rare red carpet appearance after their past family drama.
Noah, 26, and Tish, 58, posed for photos on Monday, March 9, while at the Reminders of Him premiere in Los Angeles. The mother-daughter duo matched in black ensembles and kept their arms around each other while being photographed at the event.
Monday’s red carpet appearance marked a rare night out for Noah and Tish after they were previously on the outs. The divide between Tish and Noah made headlines in February 2024 when Us Weekly broke the news that Noah was previously involved with Tish’s now-husband, Dominic Purcell.
According to a source, Noah and Purcell, 56, were involved for “about 8 to 9 months” but were “having issues.” Tish subsequently went public with Purcell, and they exchanged vows in 2023 after one year of dating. Noah, for her part, has been engaged to fashion designer Pinkus since June 2023.
One month after the drama made headlines, a second insider hinted that Tish wasn’t in a place where she wanted to mend her relationship with Noah. The falling out led to Noah’s sister Miley Cyrus being caught in the middle.
“Miley is devastated her family’s been torn apart,” the source noted in March 2024, adding that Miley, 33, “believes [the family rift is] beyond repair at this time.”
Before exchanging vows with Purcell, Tish was married to Billy Ray Cyrus. The former couple, who share kids Miley, Noah and Braison, separated in 2020 after more than two decades of marriage. (Tish also welcomed Brandi Cyrus and Trace Cyrus in a previous relationship.)
Tish and Noah were ultimately able to work out their issues.
“[Noah] just wants to focus on her life and move forward,” a source exclusively told Us in May 2024. “It’s been over a year ago at this point, and Noah has definitely moved on and she’s over it. At the end of the day, Tish will always be her mom and she doesn’t want to hold any resentment towards her.”
More recently, Tish opened up about Miley and sister Noah’s partners. She expressed in June 2025 how happy she was that her daughters each found The One. (Miley got engaged to Maxx Morando in December 2025 after four years of dating.)
“My girls are in such super-healthy, amazing relationships,” Tish said on an episode of her “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast about Noah and Miley’s respective engagements. “I love love and I think that they have been much more cautious in love than I was, and taken longer to make sure it’s the right person.”
