Katie Gaudreau, sister of late hockey duo Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, is expecting her first baby with husband Devin Joyce, and judging by a video she posted via Instagram, the whole family is overjoyed.
Two weeks after announcing her pregnancy, Katie, 25, shared a video that showed her delivering the news to her family members.
“Telling a few of our favorite people & the first 13 weeks of our growing baby. ????????????,” she captioned the post, set to Taylor Swift’s “Daylight” and shared on Wednesday, March 11.
In the black-and-white video, Katie presents her sonogram photo to her family, one at a time, including both of her parents. They each appear visibly emotional, including her dad, who pulls her in for a prolonged hug.
“Your dad’s reaction is everything ???????? Enjoy every second Katie,” one fan wrote in the comments. “The whole universe is celebrating you , your family & beautiful baby ????????.”
Another added, “I’m sitting here sobbing at work over your dad’s reaction! ????????????So so happy for all of you! ❤️❤️❤️.”
Katie’s post comes after first revealing the big news to the world on February 26, also through a black-and-white video. In that one, Joyce had his back to the camera and faced Katie. As Katie put her arms around him in a hug, she revealed baby shoes in one hand and the sonogram in the other. Joyce then turned his hat backwards to reveal it said “Dad” in block letters, and as he leaned in to kiss Katie, it revealed her wearing a hat that says “Mom.”
“Our favorite news to share. ????,” they captioned the joint post.
Katie and Joyce married in July 2025, one year after having to postpone their wedding due to Johnny and Matthew’s unexpected deaths. The pair were riding their bikes in New Jersey on August 29, 2024, the night before the intended wedding, when they were struck by a car and killed. Johnny was 31, and Matthew was 29.
Katie shared a video via Instagram in April 2025 that she planned to play at her wedding as a tribute to Johnny and Matthew. She mentioned her future children in the caption.
“I am making the most special video for our wedding featuring the boys and their best dance moves and I found these amazing videos in Kristen’s wedding video,” she wrote, referring to her older sister. “I hope one day my future children have a bond exactly like us four. On the lookout for all videos anyone has of them busting it down on the dance floor, kitchen, country concerts, or them just being them. ????.”
