Action movies are taking the top spots on Netflix‘s film chart this week.
This shouldn’t be too surprising, since action flicks are often among the most popular Netflix movies on a day-to-day basis.
However, Watch With Us‘ picks for the three most popular Netflix movies right now that you need to watch are packed with stars and established actors.
Our first selection is a new science fiction action film, which is followed by a contemplative historical thriller. To close out the week, we’re revisiting a blockbuster.
‘War Machine’ (2026)Reacher star Alan Ritchson is making a guest appearance on a rival streamer with his starring turn in the Netflix original film War Machine. Ritchson plays a staff sergeant who goes by the moniker 81. After losing his brother and other members of his unit in Afghanistan, 81 is reluctant to accept a leadership role. But that honor is trust during a training exercise that takes a turn for the weird.
When 81’s new team encounters a downed ship of unknown origin, it transforms into a lethal machine that can dispatch even the most well-prepared soldiers. It falls to 81 to keep as many members of his team alive as possible while also trying to destroy the machine. However, conventional military tactics won’t work against this machine, and 81 is in for the battle of his life.

‘Nuremberg’ (2025)Nuremberg takes place in the aftermath of World War II, as several high-ranking Nazi war criminals have been captured and the full extent of the Holocaust has become apparent. Someone has to answer for these sins, even if the United States would rather execute these prisoners than put them on trial. But Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon) insists that these men face a court for their crimes against humanity.
Two former Best Actor winners, Rami Malek and Russell Crowe, frequently share scenes as U.S. Army psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek) is assigned to monitor the mental health of Hermann Göring (Crowe) ahead of his trial. Kelley has ulterior motives for accepting a job that places him so close to Nazis, but Göring is more than just another faceless soldier. He was part of the Nazi command who witnessed the rise of Adolf Hitler and still feels loyalty to the old regime. Göring has his own agenda, and he won’t play along with any attempts to make him seem culpable for what he’s done.

‘Jurassic World Dominion’ (2022)What if Jurassic World was an Avengers movie? It would look a lot like Jurassic World Dominion, which not only brings back Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), it also features the original Jurassic Park trio of stars, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill. At the start of the film, dinosaurs are everywhere, but Owen and Claire are in hiding to protect their adoptive daughter, Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon), because her cloned DNA makes her valuable.
When Maisie is kidnapped, Owen and Claire enlist the help of pilot Kayla Watts (DeWanda Wise) to help get her back. Meanwhile, Dr. Ian Malcolm (Goldblum) summons his old friends Ellie Sattler (Dern) and Dr. Alan Grant (Neill) to help him prove that the company Biosyn and its corrupt CEO Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) are behind a threat to Earth’s food chain.
