Charlie Puth is setting the record straight when it comes to speculation he’s about to become a dad to twins.
Posting via his Instagram Story on Thursday, March 12, the singer, 34, denied there were two babies on the way,
In the post, Puth shared what appeared to be an AI-generated social media post that featured artificial images of himself and his wife Brooke Sansone, 26. Their likenesses were holding up what was purported to be sonograms of “Baby A” and “Baby B.”
“Charlie Puth and his wife have received joyful news that they are expecting their first set of twins,” the accompanying caption read.
Hosing down the speculation, Puth wrote via his Instagram Story, “If you couldn’t tell… this is obviously fake lol.”
While the couple aren’t having twins, the pair are currently expecting their first child together.
In October 2025, Puth announced Sansone was pregnant via a clip from the music video for his song “Changes.”
The footage shows Puth standing beside Sansone, who has her hands resting on her stomach. The “We Don’t Talk Anymore” singer looks over at his wife and gently places his hands over hers, smiling warmly at her before the two walk away together.

Later that month, Puth opened about starting a family with Sansone during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“I’m going to be a dad,” Puth said on the talk show at the time. “I hope [the] baby likes music because it’s the only thing I’m good at.”
He continued, “I feel like I’m going to do what my mom did for me. My mom used to put the headphones — it was the ’90s, so the headphones were big — just put them on her tummy. I think I listened to James Taylor and Luther Vandross, and I got a wide array of music. So I’ll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not.”
Puth and Sansone have known each other since childhood. They started dating in 2022, before tying the knot two years later at Puth’s family home.
Speaking on The Howard Stern Show in 2022, Puth spoke about how he and Sansone “grew up together” in their native New Jersey.
“As my life gets more turbulent and I travel everywhere, it’s really nice to have someone close to you that you’ve known for a very long time,” he said. “[Brooke has] always been very, very nice to me, and I would assume when times inevitably hard in the future, because what is life without valleys and peaks, she would be there for me, as well.”
