Jamie Lynn Spears and her husband Jamie Watson celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in arguably one of the most unconventional of ways.
“12 years of marriage is having chipotle with dollar store candles, bc your husband got in poison ivy and had to go to the doctor to get a shot and medicine after his allergic reaction,” Spears, 34, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 14. “He also thought it was our 13th anniversary, hence the 1 & 3 candles & this is one of his favorite songs, so here’s to another year.”
Spears accompanied her candid caption with a slew of pictures highlighting the couple’s chaotic celebration, including a picture of the pair eating chipotle at home, with Spears sitting on the table itself while one of her daughters peeks her head into the bottom of the frame. Another photo showed a close-up of the couple’s lavish Chipotle anniversary dinner, while another showed the family of four at a baseball game.
Spears also shared throwback photo of the couple’s wedding day, a photo of her husband holding Ivy shortly after she was born and what appeared to be vacation pics.
The pair first met in 2010, shortly after Spears split from Aldridge. After dating on and off for a few years, Watson popped the question in 2013. The couple said “I do” a year later in New Orleans.

“I knew I wanted to marry [Jamie Lynn] when basically I had fallen in love with Maddie just as much as her,” Watson said during the couple’s 2016 TLC special. “And I couldn’t not be a part of her or Maddie’s life.”
The singer, who was a young single mom when she met her now-husband, has been candid about her decision to enter motherhood at the age of 17.
“I don’t feel like a young mom at all now, but I guess that’s because I had my first daughter so very young,” Spears said in a March 2019 interview with Dopple. “I used to be so insecure at times, because I was always the youngest mom in the room.”
She continued, “I quickly learned that being a good and competent mother has nothing to do with age. I have met some of the most wonderful, amazing moms who are anywhere from 20 years old to 50 years old. So young or old, love is all it’s really about.”
