Maura Higgins is weighing in on whether she would be interested in pursuing someone in the Bravo world — including Summer House’s Kyle Cooke.
“I don’t know who Kyle Cooke is,” Higgins, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly, while promoting her partnership with Uber IrishXit. “Does he have a big ego? I’ve never watched Summer House either. I don’t know who he is.”
Cooke, 43, was asked during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live whether there’s any Bravo women that have caught his eye following his separation from wife Amanda Batula. (Cooke and Batula, 34, shared in January that they “decided to part ways as a couple” after four years of marriage.)
“I haven’t been looking. Who’s the ‘tink’ girl, again?” Cooke asked earlier this month, referring to Higgins and how she pronounces the word “think” on The Traitors. “I mean, she is beautiful. I’m just starting Traitors and I’m like, ‘Wow.’”
Higgins, for her part, told Us that she’s “very focused” on herself right now, noting that she’s been celibate for a year.
“I’m not looking for anything,” she said. “I’m not saying that if something comes about and I meet the right person that I’m gonna stay away or anything. I’m open but I’m not searching. I’m very, very happy, focused on myself, focused on my career. I’m just having a great time right now, and I’m protecting my energy.”
Higgins noted that she doesn’t “need a man for s***,” sharing that she has built her own life.
“I have my own place. I have my own career. I have everything I want,” she said. “There’s so many amazing opportunities coming in for me at the moment. Like, I am so damn happy by myself. If a man can’t come into my life and add to that, I do not want them.”
One way she won’t meet The One is by going back on Love Island or joining an all-star season, telling Us that would “never, ever, ever, ever happen.”
“To be honest, I’m just not really the girl to ever repeat like I don’t want to ever go back. I want to go forward. I’ve done that. I’ve experienced it. I got what I wanted out of it. On to the next. There’s no want to ever go back on a show like that,” she said. “I loved it, and it changed my whole life, and I’m so grateful for it, but I’ve already done it. So yeah, no, it’s never gonna happen. There’s not even a 1 percent maybe. It’s never gonna happen.”
When she’s not putting energy into herself, Higgins can be found teaming up with Uber for IrishXit — where users looking to leave a party without saying goodbye can receive 17 percent off UberX rides nationwide with code IRISHEXIT17 from Friday, March 13, through Tuesday, March 17. Higgins, who admitted she’s a chronic Irish goodbyer, shared that the partnership made sense for her.
“It’s just a bit like when you have to say goodbye to everyone by the time you get out, then you’re an hour later getting out of the party. So you’re better off leaving,” she explained. “There’s just no point. It takes too long. People start talking and start asking more questions, and then you end up staying there. So I’m a bit like, ‘You know what? I’m just gonna sneak away.’”
