Former Survivor contestant Carolyn Wiger and winner Natalie Anderson publicly condemned Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano’s recent visit to the White House.
After Mariano, 50, took to Instagram on Saturday, March 14, to share photos from he and his daughter’s “class trip” to Washington, D.C., Wiger, 39, commented, “Girrrrrllllll ????,” while Anderson was more forthcoming with her opinion: “Immediately no ????????♀️.”
The comment from Wiger came after she and Mariano developed a complicated relationship while starring in season 3 of The Traitors together in 2025, while the comment from Anderson, 39, came after she and Mariano competed on Survivor season 40 together in 2020.
Wiger and Anderson, the latter of whom was runner-up in Survivor season 40 after taking on the title of “Sole Survivor” in 2014’s season 29, weren’t the only followers to express disapproval over Mariano’s post.
One fan commented, “NOOOO MAGA got Rob NOOOO,” while another wrote, “Visiting DC, cool. Posing with propaganda, not cool.”
Other fans took to the post’s comments section to show their approval. “Def father of the year,” wrote one person, while another commented, “These comments are so disgusting. If a person you follow and admire appears to support a political party different from you, all of you trash him.”

Mariano, who is renowned for his ruthless strategizing amid various reality TV stints, included 15 photos from his White House visit that showed him sitting at the Oval Office’s famed Resolute Desk, sitting at the desk of Mike Johnson, who leads the House of Representatives, and holding a framed TIME magazine cover featuring a photo of Johnson, 54.
Another photo captured Mariano, who shares four daughters with wife Amber Mariano, holding a pin that paid tribute to President Donald Trump.

Although Mariano’s public TV appearances have seen him vocalize strong opinions, even earning him the nickname of “The Robfather” within Survivor fandom, he hasn’t publicly spoken about his political stance.
In November 2025, Mariano exclusively told Us Weekly that he and his former Traitors costar Dylan Efron, who bonded while filming the reality TV series in 2024, were working on a “secret side project” together.
“[It] is in production and being edited, and it’s going to drop really soon,” Mariano told Us at the time. “Every time we’re together, we’re competing at all kinds of different things. Like, every single thing we do turns into a competition. We were like, ‘Man, this is really funny,’ and we just got some camera guys to film it.”
