Cinnabon has reportedly cut ties with Taylor Frankie Paul after she and on-and-off boyfriend Dakota Mortensen were involved in an alleged domestic violence dispute.
Us Weekly confirmed that the brand dropped its partnership with Taylor, 31, on Tuesday, March 17, following news about a reported domestic violence incident. “Cinnabon has made the decision to terminate its collaboration with The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” the brand told Us. Recent developments and allegations surrounding the lead cast member led us to reassess this collaboration as it no longer aligns with our brand values.”
Just days before the incident broke news, the official Bachelorette and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Instagram accounts shared a post about Taylor’s partnership with Cinnabon, which has since been deleted. “Here for the right bite. Secrets in every sip,” the caption read. “Savor the most irresistible TV lineup with Cinnabon’s Perfect Pair, featuring the new Swirled Sodas now available at participating bakeries ????Catch the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives now streaming on Hulu, and don’t miss the premiere of The Bachelorette on March 22nd at 8/7c on ABC and stream on Hulu.”
Multiple outlets reported that an incident took place between Taylor and Dakota, 33, this month. A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department also confirmed to People that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” with the parents who share son Ever.
The investigation happened while the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast was filming season 5. They subsequently put a pause on filming. People also reported that members of MomTok distanced themselves from Taylor as the situation unfolded. (Confirmed members of the season 5 cast include Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor and Miranda Hope. Demi Engemann and Whitney Leavitt remain unclear.)

Taylor and Dakota’s ups and downs have been documented through the Hulu series. In 2023, she was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief after an incident with Dakota.

Six months later, she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. The other four charges were dismissed with prejudice. One month later, she reached a plea deal.
Taylor, who is starring as the ABC’s Bachelorette in season 22, which airs on Sunday, March 22, is also the mom of daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.
In season 4 of Mormon Wives, Taylor and Dakota’s castmates revealed the former couple had sex just hours before she flew to Los Angeles to the Bachelor Mansion.
