Country singer Tucker Wetmore said that he’s still steering clear of blonde women.
While sharing his celebrity crushes on the Tuesday, March 17, episode of Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, Wetmore, 26, revealed that Ana de Armas and Jessica Alba topped his list.
After Cavallari, 39, quipped that he’s on a “brunette kick” and seems to have sworn off blondes, the “Silverado Blue” singer replied, “Yep. I have. For the foreseeable future. That’s right.”
The Laguna Beach alum then asked Wetmore what his ex did that was “so bad” that he’d avoid all light-haired dating prospects, to which he replied, “I mean, she didn’t stab me with a fork or nothing.”
Wetmore clarified that he’s “never been broken up with” and has always been the one to “call it quits.” He admitted that it can be difficult to move on when feelings are still involved, but sometimes it’s clear “this isn’t going to work out.”
The crooner said that breaking someone else’s heart isn’t easy, a topic he’s written about in his own songs.
“Some people just aren’t right for you, is the way I look at it, and it takes a lot of self-discipline to realize that. I lean a lot on my family and my friends when it comes to the people I have in my life because they’re my people, first and foremost, until that person comes,” he added.

Wetmore said that he’s experienced times where people in his life have told him the person he’s dating is “bad news,” noting that he’s seen a different “version” of them behind closed doors, which he admitted is a “red flag” in itself.
“Your friends should like your significant other,” Cavallari chimed in. “I think that’s very telling.”
Wetmore confirmed that he saw signs “pretty early on” in his past relationship with the mystery blonde that indicated it wasn’t going to work out in the long run, including her being out on Broadway in Nashville until “2, 3 a.m.”
“Coming back drunk, leaving me with your dog,” Wetmore said, revealing the ex would go on girls’ nights or outings with her friends before adding, “I shouldn’t be talking about this.”
Wetmore echoed that sentiment while serving as a guest on Taste of Country Nights in May 2025.
“Pretty much every girlfriend I have ever had was blonde, and I think it’s time to change up a couple of things,” he said at the time, revealing he was open to romancing a redhead. “It can’t be worse than anything I’ve had, brother,” Wetmore quipped.
