Love Island star Huda Mustafa is speaking out after her boyfriend Louis Russell’s ex Nicole Olivera was granted a temporary restraining order against her.
“I’m aware of what’s being said and it’s not true,” Mustafa, 24, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 17. “I’m handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me.”
Us Weekly obtained court documents filed in a Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, March 12, where Olivera sought legal protection on behalf of herself and her son. Olivera alleged in legal filings that Mustafa “was making threats” against her son, Mustafa’s daughter and the reality star’s own life on February 20. (Mustafa shares daughter Arleigh, 5, with ex Noah Sheline.)
“She Ubered to my son and my’s home and broke into the building, threatening to knock [on] all our doors,” Olivera alleged.
Olivera claimed that Mustafa had flown to Los Angeles from North Carolina to confront her.
“[Huda] threatened to jump off buildings, swearing on the phone on her daughter’s life that she was going to kill herself,” Olivera alleged.
Per Olivera, she endured “about 12 hours of terrifying and extremely mentally unstable threats” from Mustafa before the Love Island alum allegedly “broke into” the building where Olivera’s son lives. She also accused Mustafa of harassing her via social media.
Olivera alleged that Mustafa was aware that she planned to take legal action, though not specifically seek a restraining order.
“My son’s father [Russell] has informed her that her actions have called for a restraining order,” she added.

According to the court documents, Olivera specified that a protective order was necessary because she was “mentally and emotionally in fear for my son and my own safety.” (TMZ was first to report the news.)
A judge granted Olivera’s request for a temporary restraining order on March 12. Mustafa has been ordered to stay “at least 100 yards” away from Olivera and her son at any home, school, workplace or childcare facility they visit.
Mustafa must not “harass, intimidate, molest, attack, strike, stalk, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), hit, abuse, destroy personal property of, or disturb the peace of” Olivera and her son. She has been banned from contacting either party “in any way” prior to a court hearing on April 3 in Los Angeles.
Mustafa first found fame as one of the breakout stars of Love Island season 7, where she came in third place alongside Chris Seeley. (Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales were crowned the winners of Love Island season 7 in July 2025, splitting a $100,000 grand prize.)
Seeley and Mustafa made Love Island history when they became the first couple to ever break up during a season finale. Mustafa got together with Russell shortly after leaving the Love Island villa.
In October 2025, Mustafa and Russell were at the center of controversy during a livestream. Both appeared to laugh when a caller used the n-word to refer to Mustafa’s Love Island season 7 costar Olandria Carthen.
Mustafa cut off the call but later posted a public apology to “more fully take accountability for my actions.”
“I want to begin by saying I completely respect Olandria, and it’s extremely disheartening that anyone, especially a presumed child, would find it excusable to use this type of language, and doing so only underlines the ignorance of the gravity that such a word carries,” she wrote in October.
She claimed that her laughter on the livestream was “a nervous, uncomfortable reaction,” though she acknowledged it was “inappropriate.”
“I want to be clear that I do not condone or tolerate anyone who uses such language, and I strongly encourage the individual responsible to reflect deeply on their words and the harm they’ve caused,” she added.
