Madison “Madi” Prewett felt anxious about Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor hitting the airwaves.
“It is actually crazy when I think back to that time and every week I was filled with so much anxiety,” Prewett, 29, recalled with her friend during a Monday, March 16, episode of her “Stay True” podcast. “I can remember that exact moment when you were in town and friends came over and the first episode was going live. Everyone was in their ‘Team Maddie’ T-shirts and I felt so overcome with anxiety and stress.”
She continued, “I had to go remove myself and sit in the bathroom and try and calm down and breathe and pray and just be like, ‘Lord, I don’t know what’s happening.’”
She explained it as an “out of body” experience, checking her phone and seeing her followers increase and being talked about on social media.
“I don’t think we were made for this as human beings. It was a crazy experience,” she shared. “Especially going from a local church to now sitting in a room with your best friends watching yourself on this reality TV show with people tweeting about you. It’s really weird.”
The podcast host went on to say that it brought her “so much peace” that her friends were watching the show alongside her. “I couldn’t watch most of the episodes,” she noted, adding she felt anxious about seeing her “uncertain ending” with Weber, 34, play out.
Prewett then detailed a hilarious story about sneaking out after her hometown date to get back in touch with her friends and family.

After flying back to the Bachelor Mansion and staying in a hotel, Prewett got access to her room key — which is usually withheld — and went into an office room.
“I go to the office and I find the computer and I log into my Gmail,” she explained while giggling. She recalled sending an email to her friends and family debating whether she should “stay” or “break up with Peter.”
“The next day, I do the same thing,” she continued, noting she checked her email all week. “I had an email from you guys. It was insane.” She joked that her mom didn’t believe it was really her contacting them and thought her email had been hacked.
After her breakup with Weber, Prewett found love with Grant Troutt, with whom she tied the knot in 2022. The couple later welcomed daughter Hosanna in January 2025. Weber, for his part, is currently dating actress Brook Sill.
