The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann was quick to seemingly throw shade at Taylor Frankie Paul just minutes after news broke that her season of The Bachelorette had been cancelled amid allegations of domestic violence.
Demi, 31, appeared to take a jab at Taylor, 31, by sharing a quote from Her Motherhood Corner via her Instagram Story on Thursday, March 19.
“The bills are paid. My husband is hot. Our marriage is strong. The kids are happy & healthy. I feel so damn rich,” the quote read, with Demi hinting that her life with husband Bret Engemann is great compared to Taylor’s current predicament.
Demi then added, “My version of peace that no one could ever destroy no matter how hard some have tried,” with a content emoji face and white heart emoji.
“The best revenge truly is living well. I’ll die on that hill forever,” she concluded.
Demi’s post appears to be hinting at her own feuds with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast, one of which is Taylor, as well as Taylor’s recent downfall in the media.
Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for Taylor for comment.
News broke earlier this week that filming had reportedly halted on season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives after Taylor and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen were allegedly involved in a domestic violence dispute in late February.
Taylor exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, March 18, there was “more context” to the alleged incident than was being reported, vowing, “I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well.”
However, shortly after TMZ published a video of Taylor and Dakota, 33, during their 2023 fight that led to her arrest, things got worse for the reality star.
A source confirmed to Us on Thursday that Dakota filed for a protective order in Utah against Taylor and was seeking temporary custody of their son, Ever, 2.
ABC, which had planned to premiere Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette on Sunday, March 22, proceeded to cut their losses amid the scandal.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment spokesperson told Us in a statement on Thursday.
Taylor broke her silence over the cancellation that same day. “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a rep for Taylor said in a statement to Us. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
Demi, for her part, has feuded with Taylor in the past over who was the leader of MomTok.
During season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Demi was at odds with almost everyone, which led her to step back from the show for season 4. (She did appear in a few episodes of the current season, which aired earlier this month.)
“I want to enter into a little bit more of a slower season of life,” Demi told People in December 2025. “So that’s what we’re going to be deciding over the next little bit, in terms of if we want to move forward there. It honestly kind of feels like a chapter’s closing and a new one’s opening, and I’m excited to see what comes of it. It’s a good way to close out the year and I’m excited to start back up 2026 and see what comes.”
