ABC already shifted its schedule after pulling Taylor Frankie Paul’s The Bachelorette season.
Taylor’s journey handing out roses on season 22 was scheduled to begin Sunday, March 22, but a rerun of American Idol season 20 will now air in its place. It’s not known, however, whether Idol will continue airing in the Sunday timeslot throughout the spring. (Live shows kick off Monday, March 30.)
Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, March 19, that ABC no longer planned to air Taylor’s season at all.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment told Us in a statement. “Our focus is on supporting the family.”
Earlier on Thursday, TMZ published footage of Taylor, 31, throwing a chair at her on-and-off ex Dakota Mortensen in 2023. Taylor’s rep, however, claimed the video was “selectively edited.”
Taylor was named the next Bachelorette in fall 2025, shortly after one of her splits from Dakota, 33. The pair, who welcomed son Ever in March 2024, briefly hooked up before Taylor flew from Utah to California to film The Bachelorette.
Taylor finished filming in December 2025, reuniting with her family in time for the new year. News broke earlier this month that local Utah police were called to Taylor’s house in late February after an alleged domestic incident with Dakota.
“There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate,” Taylor exclusively told Us on Tuesday, March 17. “It’s been hard, and it sucks to be in this position. The mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well.”

Dakota also issued a statement about the situation, stressing that Ever’s well-being is his “No. 1 priority.”
“He knew there was a possibility it could come out, but he was not going to be the one to proactively do that because he has always wanted a decent relationship with Taylor,” a rep for the DadTok star said earlier this week. “It’s been really hard to achieve that, but he wants to coparent well.”
Dakota’s spokesperson added, “He was just hoping that if he says nothing, as he usually does, it would go away. He’s never done any kind of sit-down interview about his side. He kind of just lets it all happen to him, and I think he realizes with the severity of everything now that he just can’t do that.”
Dakota has since filed a restraining order against Taylor, requesting sole custody of Ever. Taylor, who shares two older children with ex-husband Tate Paul, has not further addressed the accusations.
