Watch: Jang Shin Young Vows Revenge For Her Daughter In “Woman Who Swallowed The Sun” Teaser
MBC’s new drama “Woman Who Swallowed the Sun” has unveiled its captivating first teaser!
Starring Jang Shin Young, Seo Ha Joon, Yoon Ah Jung, and Oh Chang Suk, “Woman Who Swallowed the Sun” follows the intense journey of a woman seeking revenge against a powerful conglomerate family.
The newly released video opens on a woman in a white dress who is isolated in a vast, dimly lit room. Baek Seol Hee (Jang Shin Young) narrates in voice-over, “Since that day, my life came to a halt. But the world cruelly went on as if nothing had happened.”
Amid the eerie atmosphere, Baek Seol Hee (Jang Shin Young) appears in a striking red gown. Her eyes burn with spite as she vows revenge, her voice conveying deep heartbreak, resentment, and a mother’s unwavering determination for vengeance after the loss of her daughter.
The teaser goes on to introduce the characters surrounding Baek Seol Hee—Moon Tae Kyung (Seo Ha Joon), Min Kyung Chae (Yoon Ah Jung), Kim Sun Jae (Oh Chang Suk), and Min Doo Sik (Jeon No Min)—all of whom seem to play crucial roles in the unfolding drama.
The teaser culminates in a dramatic scene where blood drips from Seol Hee’s hand. A close-up reveals her tear-filled eyes as she chillingly declares, “Now it’s your turn.” This powerful line hints at the dark history Seol Hee has faced and the vengeful path on which she is about to embark.
