Kim Min Seok And Lee Hyun Wook Clash With Contrasting Motives In Poster For “Shark: The Storm”
Upcoming drama “Shark: The Storm” has teased a fiery clash through a new poster!
Originally released in 2021, “Shark: The Beginning” made waves as TVING’s first original film. Now returning as a six-episode series titled “Shark: The Storm,” the sequel continues the journey of Cha Woo Sol (Kim Min Seok), who, after being released from prison, dedicates himself to becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. But just as he begins to reclaim his life, he finds himself entangled in a brutal fight for survival against a new and ruthless enemy Hyun Woo Yong (Lee Hyun Wook). No longer fighting just to survive, Woo Sol now rises to protect those he holds dear.
The new poster sets the stage for a high-stakes showdown between the unstoppable “shark” Cha Woo Sol and the all-consuming “storm” Hyun Woo Yong. With its striking intensity and the prominent number “2,” it heralds the beginning of a turbulent new chapter. Woo Sol’s hardened gaze and fierce physique speak volumes of the battles he’s endured to survive, and his clenched, battle-worn fist tells the story of blood, sweat, and tears shed to remain unbroken.
Hyun Woo Yong, the cold-blooded boss pulling Woo Sol into the eye of the storm, exudes chilling charisma. For Woo Yong, fighting isn’t about sport or survival—it’s purely a source of amusement and thrill. His usual smirk is gone, replaced by an ominous calm, hinting at the ferocity of the battle to come. The stark contrast of their black-and-white boxing wraps encapsulates their clashing drives: Woo Sol fights to protect, while Woo Yong has orchestrated the deadly game for his own pleasure.
Hiding his ruthless nature behind the title of MMA Association President, Hyun Woo Yong is a formidable opponent. As Woo Sol steps into this brutal arena, viewers are left wondering: can he protect what matters most and achieve his dream of becoming a true fighter?
Kim Min Seok described his character, saying, “Cha Woo Sol is a constantly evolving fighter who embodies the essence of a shark.” He added, “Through Hyun Woo Yong, Woo Sol will rise to the next level.” Lee Hyun Wook commented, “Hyun Woo Yong is a character who finds the meaning of his existence through fighting. “Shark: The Storm” will be out on May 15.
