“Study Group” Confirmed To Be In Early Development For Season 2
“Study Group” is gearing up for a second season!
Premiered this past January and based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Youn Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams.
On May 8, the drama’s production company Studio Dragon published its Q1 2025 earnings presentation and listed the confirmation of “Study Group” Season 2 as a key highlight. The company also revealed it is “considering new formats such as an interquel,” which typically refers to a follow-up that bridges events between two seasons, sparking even more curiosity about what’s to come.
On May 12, a Studio Dragon representative confirmed to media outlets, “‘Study Group’ Season 2 is in the early stages of planning,” signaling a strong possibility of the drama’s return.
