Teddi Mellencamp got real about regrowing her hair.
Mellencamp, 43, took to Instagram on Monday, May 12, to share why she hasn’t shaved her entire head amid her cancer battle. “Lots of messages asking, ‘Why don’t you shave your whole head?’” She captioned a post of her hair as it grows in.
“During radiation I lost big patches of hair; those spots aren’t growing hair yet. This is what it looks like when the other hair grows out. So I shave these parts that grow every couple of weeks. I can’t do it every day ????,” she wrote.
Mellencamp added that she’s unbothered by fans asking her about her hair, “because [she’s] grateful that most days [she’s] feeling better.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum added, “Next round of immunotherapy in 2 days!”
She concluded the post by thanking L’Agence Fashion for their sleek suits, which help her to feel confident while attending events amid her medical ordeal.

After getting a surgery to remove two tumors from her brain, which had metastasized from her Melanoma diagnosis, Mellencamp showed off her scars at the Unforgettable Evening, Benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund in Los Angeles on April 28.
The reality star recently got real about her journey with Us Weekly, exclusively telling Us in April that she’s “fighting for [her] life.”
On RHOBH, Mellencamp often told her kids, “Moms always come back” whenever she left the house without them.
“I have not said that line to them since I’ve been back [from the hospital],” she admitted. “They all know that I’m fighting the hardest I possibly can, but I haven’t said [it] because I don’t want to lie to them. And I don’t know.”
