Jang Shin Young Transforms Into A Single Mother With Strong Maternal Love In “Woman Who Swallowed The Sun”
MBC’s new drama “Woman Who Swallowed the Sun” has unveiled its first stills of Jang Shin Young!
Starring Jang Shin Young, Seo Ha Joon, Yoon Ah Jung, and Oh Chang Suk, “Woman Who Swallowed the Sun” follows the intense journey of a woman seeking revenge against a powerful conglomerate family.
Jang Shin Young plays Baek Seol Hee, a single mother who remains strong and hopeful while raising her daughter through life’s hardships. Once a firm believer in true love, Baek Seol Hee is shattered by a betrayal from the man she loved, leaving her at a breaking point. A character defined by both strength and maternal love, she chooses to protect her unborn child and rebuild her life by running a snack bar. She quietly endures her struggles and chooses to hold onto hope. But when her peaceful life is suddenly upended, she is driven to a desperate act of revenge.
The newly released stills showcase the emotional range of Jang Shin Young’s portrayal of Baek Seol Hee, from a warm smile to a determined gaze that hints at her thirst for vengeance. In one photo, she wears a helmet and rides a scooter, flashing a bright, confident smile that reflects Baek Seol Hee’s resilience and spirited energy. Bathed in sunlight, her face suggests a quiet strength and an unwavering resolve to hold onto hope despite life’s challenges.
However, her aura shifts dramatically in another photo, where her expression reflects the weight of a difficult life and the complex emotions she hides. The intensity in her eyes stands out, hinting at the emotional storm to come and setting the stage for the dramatic twists ahead.
