What Happened in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2, Episode 5?Ellie and Dina finally got into some trouble that they couldn’t get out of alone. A new type of infected called stalkers trapped the two young women with far more intelligent tactics than any previous versions of the infected had displayed. Without any other options, Ellie was ready to lay down her life for Dina and her unborn baby before the timely arrival of Dina’s ex-boyfriend, Jesse (Young Mazino). Although Jesse is extremely angry at Ellie, he reveals that he came to Seattle with Tommy (Gabriel Luna) to find them.
The trio successfully evade the WLF, but they accidentally wander into the territory of the Seraphites. Dina was shot with an arrow in her leg, forcing Jesse to carry her. Ellie created a distraction to lead the Seraphites away, but in the process, she lost track of where Jesse and Dina went. Before long, Ellie realized she was near the hospital and close enough to find Nora (Tati Gabrielle), the woman who held her down while Abby killed Joel.
Ellie gets her desired result and holds a gun on Nora, who is initially apologetic about Joel’s fate. However, Nora’s demeanor changes when she taunts Ellie about what happened to her father figure. Nora attempts to escape and flees to the hospital basement, where scores of infected have been trapped for years. In the process, Nora is infected. Just as Ellie closes in on her, Nora asks her if she knows what Joel did to Abby’s father and the other Fireflies. Ellie coldly replies that she does before beating Nora with a lead pipe. In a flashback, Joel greets Ellie as she wakes up in Jackson.
What’s Going to Happen in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2, Episode 6?The flashbacks will explore the way that Joel and Ellie’s relationship fell apart and how she discovered that he murdered the Fireflies on her behalf.
Yes, and all of the featured scenes focus on Joel and Ellie. It looks like the episode will also depict some of their happier moments after relocating to Jackson. But there’s clearly anger and tension between them, especially once Ellie learns what he did in her name.

Who’s Joining the Cast of ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2?In addition to Dever as Abby, Merced as Dina and Wright as Isaac Dixon, Young Mazino also joined the cast as Dina’s ex, Jesse.
Catherine O’Hara plays Gail, who was Joel’s therapist in Jackson before he passed away. While Gail’s husband, Eugene, was only briefly seen in the game, Joe Pantoliano will play that character on the show. Gabriel Luna is reprising his season 1 role as Joel’s younger brother, Tommy.
