4 Relationships Full Of Chemistry To Anticipate In “Hi-5”
Upcoming film “Hi-5” will feature lots of on-screen chemistry between its leads!
“Hi-5” is a comic action adventure about five people who unexpectedly gain different superpowers through organ transplants and must defend themselves against those who seek to exploit their abilities.
Here’s a look at the different on-screen connections that viewers will be able to enjoy “Hi-5”:
The reunion of “Reply 1988” co-stars Ahn Jae Hong and Ra Mi RanRa Mi Ran and Ahn Jae Hong, who played mother and son in the hit drama “Reply 1988,” are teaming up once again. In “Hi-5,” they play Ji Seong and Sun Nyeo, two characters with superpowers who join forces.
Ahn Jae Hong said, “I’ve always dreamed of reuniting [with Ra Mi Ran]. I waited every day.” The actors have remained close over the years, even referring to each other as “Mom” and “Son,” and “Reply 1988” fans are eager to see their dynamic on the big screen.
Ra Mi Ran and Kim Hee Won also share a meaningful connection. They previously starred as a secretly dating teacher couple in the 2014 film “Hot Young Bloods.” Now, they reunite as members of the same team in “Hi-5.”
Expressing confidence in their strong rapport, Kim Hee Won said, “Our chemistry needs no words.” Their close bond is expected to bring playful energy to the film.
Ahn Jae Hong and Kim Hee Won last worked together in the 2017 film “The King’s Case Note,” where they faced off as opposing forces—good versus evil. This time, they’re allies, teaming up to take down villains. Their collaboration promises to deliver both warmth and excitement.
Director Kang Hyung Chul is reuniting with actor Oh Jung Se for their third film together, following “Tazza: The Hidden Card” and “Swing Kids.” Kang Hyung Chul’s lively directing style, paired with Oh Jung Se’s ability to bring characters to life, makes them a trusted and powerful team, and their reunion has added to the anticipation for “Hi-5.”
Expressing his deep trust in the actor, Kang Hyung Chul said, “Oh Jung Se blended into this film so naturally. He always will.”
“Hi-5” is set to hit theaters on May 30.
