Joe Jonas is opening up about coparenting with ex-wife Sophie Turner.
“They have an incredible mom. I have a beautiful coparenting relationship that I’m really grateful for,” Jonas, 35, said of raising his two daughters, Willia, 4, and Delphine, 2, with the Game of Thrones actress.
“Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true,” Jonas added on Friday, May 23, while speaking with podcaster and life coach Jay Shetty onstage at the latter’s Jay Shetty: On Purpose Live tour in Hollywood, Florida, per footage shared via social media.
The singer and actor also shared his hopes and dreams for his two daughters as they get older.

“As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them. And for guys that are protective of them,” the Jonas Brothers and DNCE star said. “I think what values I want for them … I want them to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want.”
However, Jonas admitted that he is reluctant for his young girls to follow in their parents’ famous footsteps.
“Doing music or acting, we might want them to wait a little while,” he quipped, before adding: “I think, for me, I want them to feel confident to be who they are as people, feel like they can grow up in a safe world.”
Jonas and Turner, 29, tied the knot in 2019 after three years of dating. They welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in 2020, followed by Delphine in 2022.
Us Weekly confirmed in September 2023 that Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage. The pair subsequently went back and forth over custody arrangements of their two daughters, but eventually reached a settlement in September 2024, agreeing to share custody.
“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the U.K.,” the now-exes told Us in a joint statement at the time. “We look forward to being great coparents.”
Last week, Turner gave some insight into her positive relationship with her ex when she plugged Jonas’ new album, Music for People Who Believe in Love.
“Go go @joejonas,” Turner wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 24, sharing a Spotify link to the record.

Since their split, Turner and Jonas have both spoken about their marriage and relationship.
“We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard,” Turner recalled last year to Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England. I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long — six years — and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant. I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, ‘I never got to touch your belly.’ We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”
Jonas, meanwhile, recently talked about diving back into the dating world following his divorce.
“I was seeing somebody at the time, and I was kind of having this idea of dating again. It was really scary and intimidating,” Jonas said during a Wednesday, May 22, TalkShopLive stream, while discussing writing his new song “Only Love” from his latest solo record.
He added, “Love takes different shapes and forms, and I was rediscovering what that was.”
