Walton Goggins and his wife, Nadia Conners, have been going strong since 2005 — despite their “awkward” first date.
During an October 2019 appearance on The View, Goggins shared that his friend unknowingly set him up on a blind date with Conners while he was supposed to be at a business dinner raising money. When he arrived at the dinner with other people, including Conners, she only wanted to hear about him.
“I didn’t talk to anyone there that I was supposed to talk to, and at the end of it, she said, ‘You’re going to take me home, right?’ And I said, ‘Uh, yes,’” Goggins explained, noting that they began dating shortly thereafter.
The couple went on to welcome son Augustus in January 2011 and then tied the knot that August.
Goggins and Conners, who is also a successful writer and director, have continued to support each other throughout the years, including when their movie The Uninvited premiered at SXSW in March 2024.
“20 years she’s been working towards this moment,” Goggins wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of himself and his wife. “To be by her side… with this cast… in this story… has been so emotionally overwhelming…I love you @nadiasomerset. I’m so very proud of you.”

2005Following Goggins’ first wife Leanne Knight’s death by suicide in 2004, Goggins was set up on an unknowing blind date with Conners. The twosome quickly hit it off and started dating.

Goggins shared a sweet Instagram post on Conners’ birthday.
“My best friend…my wife. Happy birthday darlin.. I love you so very deeply,” he captioned a photo of himself and Conners.
November 2019After nearly nine years of marriage, the couple renewed their vows alongside family and friends.
“….my wife and I were married almost 9 years ago with 5 people and our 6 month old in attendance in our backyard. We never had a party. With a newborn we were too tired,” Goggins shared in a lengthy Instagram post. “But this past Saturday we had a joint birthday party and the surprise was… we did it again! Only this time our son was almost 9 and we were surrounded by friends and family who had no idea what was about to go down. The joy in that room…all the time that has passed, the ups and downs, the hills and valleys only to find ourselves walking in this verdant pasture, with each other and all these people that we have in our lives was worth every step.”
November 2021
Conners took to Instagram to share a cute post for Goggin’s 50th birthday.
“YOU are the life of every party but behind that charisma, humor and energy, you are the man who prepares and that takes nothing for granted; not a role, a moment, a friend, or an encounter,” she wrote alongside photos of Goggins. “You inspire me endlessly by watching you spin daily life into gold. I am so damn lucky to be your partner, to watch you grow as you evolve through every high and low. I couldn’t love you more my best friend and husband and father to Augustus.”
July 2023The family took a trip to Noto, Italy, and shared a sweet moment from the trip via Instagram.
“This photo kind of sums it up. Thank you NOTO for being so beautiful,” Conners captioned the post, which included a photo of her and her husband smiling at each other.
“@waltongogginsbonafide I love you walton. And augustus. And all the friends that came and went. And new friends. And that sun. Holy s*** that water. A massive year of transformations and challenges … we did it.”
March 2024
Goggins celebrated Conners when their movie, The Uninvited, premiered at SXSW.
“20 years she’s been working towards this moment. To be by her side… with this cast… in this story… has been so emotionally overwhelming,” he wrote via Instagram.
February 2025
Conners gushed to Architectural Digest that she and Goggins “find each other in the things that inspire” them.
“Walt doesn’t buy a Porsche; he buys a Kerry James Marshall. That’s what he’ll stretch for,” she said.
Conners addressed speculation about Goggins’ relationship with The White Lotus costar Aimee Lou Wood.
“It’s odd to see [the speculation], but it’s an indication of how much people were invested in the fictional characters,” she said in an interview with Hello! Magazine. “I take it as a sign that he’s become quite popular.”
