Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany Aldean, has been sober for nearly a month.
“My celebratory drink is tea tonight. [I’m] almost three weeks no alcohol,” Brittany, 36, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, May 27, referring to the news that Todd and Julie Chrisley were pardoned after their respective fraud convictions. “Since I am a creature of habit at night and just love some wine, I replayed it with other drinks to fill the void.”
Brittany further revealed that cutting back on drinking means her face “isn’t as puffy,” and she has less brain fog and sleeps better at night. In an earlier Instagram Story post on Tuesday, the influencer cited her decision to cut back as a way to “detox the bad things.”
“We have a busy weekend, so I will be having some drinks with friends,” Brittany added. “But, this little break has been great.”
In addition to reducing her alcohol intake, Brittany also took a social media hiatus.
“I haven’t been on here much in the last couple weeks ’cause I’ve been trying to take a little socials break,” she said in another Instagram Story video posted earlier on Tuesday. “I just couldn’t continue to post normally without saying how excited I am that Todd and Julie are coming home because this has, obviously, been such a gut-wrenching situation for the family.”

Brittany added, “We’re really close with them, and we’ve been trying to be there for the kids since [Todd and Julie] have been away. It’s just been a horrible situation. Just the fact that they get to have their family back is the most exciting thing ever, and I can’t contain my excitement.”
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were charged in August 2019 with several counts of bank and wire fraud and tax evasion. While the Chrisley Knows Best alums maintained their innocence, they were both found guilty in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie was sentenced to seven, plus additional probation requirements.
After Todd and Julie reported to prison in January 2022, their daughter Savannah was granted custody of minor siblings Grayson and Chloe. (Todd is also the father of daughter Lindsie and son Kyle from a previous marriage.)
President Donald Trump formally issued Todd and Julie a pardon on Tuesday.
“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah, 27, said in a statement to Us Weekly. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”
She continued, “I also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process. Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over. I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one. Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”
