Kristin Cavallari had what she called a “total fangirl moment” at Stagecoach in April when she spotted celebrity crush Brandon Sklenar.
Cavallari, 38, recalled the hilarious moment on the Tuesday, May 27, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, though she admits she was “a few cocktails in” and had microdosed mushrooms, so her memory is a little hazy.
“I wish this moment was not so blurry for me, but all of a sudden, I am able to pick out Brandon Sklenar, and he’s with a couple guys,” she said. “I’m pretty sure he had his hood over his head, like, I f***ing clocked him and I go, ‘Oh my God, are you Brandon?’ I think I said his last name wrong.”
Cavallari added that she had no problem telling Sklenar, 34, who has been in a relationship with personal trainer Courtney Salviolo since 2020, that he is her celebrity crush.
“I was like, ‘Are you Brandon Sklenar?’” she recalled. “Total fangirl moment. I like f***ing attacked him. And I said something to the effect of, like, ‘You’re my No. 1 , you’re my biggest celebrity crush.’”
Though the moment may not have been everything Cavallari has dreamed of, it sounds like it ended well for the both of them.
“And he shook my hand and he looked me in the eye and he said, ‘Thank you.’ And my life was made,” she said. “I literally — I could die today and be a happy woman.”
The run-in came while the It Ends With Us star was the subject of dating speculation after he was spotted with Sydney Sweeney at the country music festival. Us Weekly confirmed in March that Sweeney, 27, had split from fiancé Jonathan Davino after seven years of dating.
“They are just really good friends, and Sydney is living her best life right now,” a source exclusively clarified to Us of Sweeney and Sklenar. However, an eyewitness noted that Sklenar was “very attentive toward” Sweeney, adding, “seemed like he was just there to have fun with her. There is flirtatious chemistry with her and Brandon. People around them noticed.”
As for Cavallari, she was most recently linked to former NHL star Nate Thompson. A source confirmed to Us in December 2024 that the two were dating “but it’s not serious.” The Hills alum revealed on a March 2025 episode of her podcast that she had returned to dating apps.
Cavallari was also previously married to former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler from 2013 to 2022. The two share sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 11, as well as daughter Saylor, 9.
