Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, And More Trace Love, Lies, And Power Plays In Unreleased Stills From “Dear Hongrang”
To celebrate its growing global success, “Dear Hongrang” has released a stunning set of unreleased stills!
“Dear Hongrang” is a historical mystery romance that follows Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), the long-lost son of Joseon’s largest merchant guild, who returns after 12 years with no memory of his past. As his half-sister Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah), who spent years desperately searching for him, becomes the only one to question his true identity, an inexplicable emotional bond starts to form between them.
In just its second week of release, the series has climbed to No. 3 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) chart, continuing its steady rise in popularity both in Korea and around the world.
“Dear Hongrang” has also ranked in the Top 10 across 40 countries—including Brazil, Peru, Greece, Morocco, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and New Caledonia—further highlighting its growing international appeal.
The newly unveiled stills capture the emotional richness and layered storytelling at the heart of the series. Images of Hong Rang and Jae Yi subtly trace the evolution of their relationship—from one of caution and suspicion to an undeniable pull that slowly blossoms into love. Their moments together—riding horseback, leaning on each other, and sharing a kiss—speak volumes about their deepening bond and the aching yearning between them.
Other stills show Hong Rang facing off against Snow Man in a fierce battle, a moment that recalls one of the drama’s most intense and visually striking sword-fighting scenes following the reveal of his true identity.
Meanwhile, stills of Mu Jin (Jung Ga Ram) reflect the growing ambition of a man desperate to secure his position as heir to the merchant guild. His subtle transformation from a loyal figure to a darker, more conflicted character adds complexity to the unfolding story. Min Yeon Ui (Uhm Ji Won), the formidable matriarch of the guild, hides twisted maternal affection and ambition beneath her calm and elegant exterior, leaving a lasting impression with her layered performance.
Sim Yeol Guk (Park Byung Eun), captured with a weighty gaze and brooding aura, reveals glimpses of his concealed ambition for status and success. Finally, Grand Prince Han Pyeong (Kim Jae Wook) exudes enigmatic charisma, his obsession with art and beauty underscored by an unsettling intensity that makes his every appearance unforgettable.
