With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, that means summer is just on the horizon.
Watch With Us is ready to celebrate a season full of lazy days and nonstop binge-watching on some of our favorite streamers. If your preferred way to spend a weekend is by watching some high-quality shows, then Hulu has some great options that will satisfy the most discerning viewer.
An animated comedy, a superhero teen drama and a juicy thriller are all available to watch on the platform. Check out our recommendations below.
‘Bob’s Burgers’ (2011-Present)If this past Memorial Day still has you thinking about burgers, hot dogs and the beach, head on over to Bob’s Burgers. Over at the Belcher family’s restaurant, they’re frying up creatively named burgers (like the “Plymouth Roquefort” or the “Don’t Give Me No Chive”) and piping hot laughs.
Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), his wife Linda (John Roberts) run the restaurant with their kids Tina (Dan Mintz), Louise (Kristen Schaal) and Gene (Eugene Mirman), and though business isn’t always easy, they’re one of the happiest families on TV. Their antics are wacky, the guest voice actors are memorable (Sarah Silverman, Kevin Kline, Jenny Slate and more all voice recurring characters) and the musical numbers are catchy. The show’s been on for so long that a lot of people take it for granted. Now’s the time to revisit the Belcher family and fall in love with them again.
‘Smallville’ (2001-2011)The origin of truth, justice and the American way is revealed in this teen drama about the early years of Clark Kent (Tom Welling), Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) and more of your favorite DC characters.
The critically acclaimed Smallville set the stage for many Man of Steel stories for years to come, and it’s still a gold standard for all things super. If you’re getting hyped up for James Gunn’s Superman being released this summer, now’s the perfect time to immerse yourself in this classic teen drama.
Many of the East Coast’s most privileged will probably be headed to the Hamptons for the summer, so why not join them — in spirit, at least — by checking out this juicy thriller inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo?
Revenge is the story of Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), a young woman who has returned to the Hamptons community 20 years after she and her father were ruined by the actions of their wealthy neighbors. Living in plain sight among the people who once wronged her, Emily is out for vengeance in this twist-filled drama. Revenge is full of moral quandaries and pushing of boundaries, wrapped up in a glamorous Hamptons package. It’s the perfect show to watch right when summer is about to start.
