It can also bring a lot of challenges, tears, and struggles. “Crushology 101,” the most recent addition to this genre, brought all of that to our screens with the intense yet cute love story of Ban Hee Jin (Roh Jeong Eui) and Hwang Jae Yeol (Lee Chae Min), two college students who bloomed in the spring of their first love. 1. “My ID is Gangnam Beauty”
In the core of Korean society, good looks can mean a lot, so it’s not surprising that some girls decide to improve their appearance by all means necessary, and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” portrays this topic perfectly. Tired of being a perpetual ugly duckling, Kang Mi Rae (Im Soo Hyang) convinces her parents to help her change her image with plastic surgery and start afresh once she gets to college. Embracing her brand new look, she embarks on all sorts of situations, breaking her shell, and trying all the things she was too shy to do before.
However, having a perfect face doesn’t mean she gets a perfect life. She soon realizes that her new look can be more troublesome than she expected—even more so when she catches the eye of the school heartthrob, Do Kyung Suk (Cha Eun Woo), who was her classmate long before her transformation and is unbothered by pretty faces and false pretenses. Through this show, you will get to enjoy one of the most popular K-dramas of 2018 while watching Mi Rae discover the true meaning of beauty, love, and self-esteem.

2. “Dear.M”
Love makes young people giddy with excitement and anticipation, and even more so when a mystery surrounds it. One day, life at Seoyeon University gets taken by storm when an anonymous love confession appears in the community forum, making everyone on campus wonder who the person behind it is and dream about being the first love of “Mister M.” Ma Joo A (Park Hye Soo) in particular can’t get it out of her head and is determined to discover who this mysterious person is. It’s so much so that she even gets her best friend, Cha Min Ho (NCT’s Jaehyun), involved in her crusade.
As these long-time friends dig into the puzzle, they soon discover much more about themselves and their feelings. But they aren’t the only ones who show the complexity of young love. Seo Ji Min (Roh Jeong Eui) and Park Ha Neul (Bae Hyeon Seong), a perfect and envied couple on the outside, struggle to grow together individually and within their relationship. With a fresh and talented cast, this K-drama follows the ups and downs of young people who, despite the difficulties, always look at the bright side of things, making it a show full of hope and emotion.

3. “Cheer Up”
Commonly, young adults are full of life and optimism, but there are times when they also need a bit of encouragement to keep up with their lives. That’s where a group of cheerleaders like “Theia” fits right in. Do Hae Yi (Han Ji Hyeon), a hardworking freshman, does everything in her power to help her family make ends meet, working on different part-time jobs while studying. When she gets an offer to enter the cheerleading squad at her university, she accepts, thinking only about earning money without expecting to meet new friends, love, and a lot of troubles.
On the other side, our male lead, Park Jung Woo (Bae In Hyuk), carries on his shoulders not only the responsibility of the cheering squad but also a dark past that haunts him until he meets Hae Yi and finally dares to open up his heart again. As their budding love starts, they also deal with a threatening shadow that puts them and their squad in danger. Filled with blazing characters and unlike other shows, this one not only presents the perks and troubles of young love, but it also showcases the fighting spirit and relatable essence of youth, making it a must-watch for everybody!
