Justin Bieber is sharing a cryptic message about loyalty.
“‘Loyalty’ is manipulative language,” the “Peaches” singer, 31, ruminated in a contemplative Instagram post on Tuesday, June 3.
“Loyalty is a duty, it’s an obligation,” he continued. “That’s not free will. Love is not a duty. Love is a delight.”
Bieber continued: “Please stop using loyalty to keep people around you out of your own fear … it’s hurting us.”
“Mafia members use loyalty to keep people in their gangs,” Bieber wrote. “Let’s not perpetuate this manipulative language.
“Love over loyalty forever,” the singer concluded.
Bieber didn’t elaborate further on what led to his profound post, but the “Intentions” singer has shared similar cryptic posts with his 294 million followers in recent months. Earlier Tuesday, he shared another post telling followers, “God decides what we deserve.”
Continuing with the theme of heart, Bieber recently showed a public display of love for his wife, Hailey Bieber, 28, after e.l.f. Beauty acquired her popular skincare brand, Rhode, in a deal worth an estimated $1 billion.
As news of the sale broke on Wednesday, May 28, Bieber posted photos of him embracing a smiling Hailey and kissing her on the cheek. He also shared a screenshot of the beauty mogul’s Instagram post regarding the sale of Rhode, which is just three years old.
“When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company,” Hailey stated via social media earlier that day. “So today, I am incredibly excited and proud to announce that we are partnering with e.l.f. Beauty as we step into this next chapter.”
She added: “I found a like-minded disruptor with a vision to be a different kind of company that believes in big ideas and innovation in the same way that I do and will help us continue to grow the brand.”
After thanking her team and her fans, Hailey concluded her caption with: “This is only the beginning.”
Bieber and Hailey tied the knot in September 2018 and are parents to son, Jack, who was born in August 2024.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Hailey set the record straight on the headlines surrounding a potential rift in her marriage.
“It’s not real,” she told the outlet of most of what’s written about her. “And that’s the thing: I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them.”
