Love Island USA fans want to know if they actually spotted a rogue IUD on the floor of the villa.
During the Thursday, June 5, episode of the hit Peacock series, contestants Ace Greene, Austin Shepard, Isabelle-Anne “Belle-A” Walker, Charlie Georgiou, Chelley Bissainthe, Cierra Ortega, Huda Mustafa, Jeremiah Brown, Nicolas “Nic” Vansteenberghe, Olandria Carthen and Taylor Williams were headed to play a game.
The focus wasn’t on the challenge, though, but on what eagle-eyed viewers caught a glimpse of.
“I pray this person noticed this little thing fell out before they try to get freaky,” read a post via X alongside a screenshot of an IUD-shaped object on the stage at the villa, while another joked, “HELP WHOS IUD FELL ON THE GROUND OMG.”
Luckily, host Ariana Madix was there to clear the speculation up, replying to a fan on TikTok, “Imao it’s from the flowers but this is cracking me up.”

There were subsequently more screenshots shared by fans who went back several seasons, with one writing, “It’s not an IUD????, I think it’s part of the flowers, this was posted last year.”
Love Island USA follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa in Fiji. The contestants — who are referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa and are under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and to stand a chance to receive the prize of $100,000.
While season 7 just started, there has already been plenty of drama. In addition to the “IUD” that turned out to be just a floral look-alike, the premiere on Tuesday, June 3, was significantly delayed.
The second episode on Wednesday, June 4, then revealed that contestant Yulissa Escobar was leaving the show after clips of her using racial slurs on a podcast circulated online. Yulissa’s abrupt departure was explained away when narrator Iain Stirling announced that she “has left the villa.”

The rest of the contestants didn’t discuss Yulissa’s disappearance except when Ace acknowledged that he is now single again after previously pairing off with her. The shocking exit came after TMZ posted footage of Yulissa using the n-word several times during podcast appearances. Us Weekly has reached out for comment, but Yulissa has yet to address the controversy.
Austin, meanwhile, came under scrutiny for allegedly “liking” TikTok posts that supported President Donald Trump. He has remained on season 7 as the contestants continue their search for love.
New episodes of Love Island USA will be released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.
