Bringing Up Bates alum Lawson Bates and his wife, Tiffany Bates, are expecting their second baby.
“Our family’s sequel is officially in production ????️????,” Lawson, 32, and Tiffany, 26, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 9. “BABY 2 COMING WINTER 2025 ????.”
The couple also shared the news in a YouTube vlog, documenting the moment they found out that Tiffany is pregnant.
“I literally can’t believe it. I’m still in shock. Tiffany’s in shock,” Lawson quipped after the pair left a doctor’s appointment. “You get all hyped up, you know that you want a new baby, but whenever it finally happens, you just can’t believe it. It’s a miracle.”
Tiffany, for her part, chimed in and called her pregnancy journey “wild” since several of her sisters-in-law are also expecting. (Carlin, Erin, Josie, Emerson and Lydia Bates are similarly pregnant.)
“Someone else in the family is pregnant, but we are literally a day apart,” Tiffany said. “When we had the seven boys in a row, Katie and Esther were literally less than five days apart. I think Lydia and Emerson [are] coming up less than two weeks apart, so me and the other person in the family are probably less than 24 hours apart.”
She added, “Pretty crazy [that] everyone is pregnant in the Bates family. It’s so exciting … and it’s so surreal.”
The couple previously welcomed son Will in July 2024 after Tiffany suffered a miscarriage the year before.

“I was so scared. I’m so happy, but at the same time, I’m scared because I don’t want to lose this one too,” Tiffany tearfully said in a March 2024 YouTube video after finding out she was pregnant with Will. “But, I know that God’s in control. … Oh my gosh, you guys. [This pregnancy test] says, ‘pregnant.’ It says, ‘pregnant!’ You guys, wow! I’m so excited, but I’m very nervous.”
Lawson, who is the fourth eldest child of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, started dating Tiffany in February 2021. They tied the knot in May 2022. Lawson and Tiffany found out they were expecting late daughter Hope the next year.
“Our little angel baby went home to heaven,” Tiffany wrote via Instagram in December 2023. “Our hearts have never been more broken. As we take time to grieve, we continue to praise the Lord for all His blessings, including our miracle baby. God is still good.”
She added at the time, “We can’t wait to hold our baby one day! We’ve read all of your comments and are so encouraged by your kindness. The stories you’ve shared with us about your personal journeys have truly touched our hearts, we are praying for you!”
