Kylie Kelce wants to make one thing abundantly clear: she has no interest in playing competitive reality TV.
The mother of four said as much in a conversation with rugby olympian Ilona Maher on the Thursday, June 12, episode of Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. The two were discussing Maher’s second-place finish on Dancing With the Stars season 33 when the bronze medalist asked Kelce, 33, if she had interest in competing on a reality show.
“Absolutely f***ing not,” she said.
Maher, 28, asked Kelce specifically about Dancing With the Stars, and she remained emphatic.
“Absolutely f***ing not,” she repeated. “Don’t call me. It’s a waste of a phone call, don’t call me.”
As Maher can attest, DWTS is a major physical commitment. The athlete opened up to Us Weekly exclusively in December about the pressures of the show, which differ from those at the Olympics.
“This was about me dancing, looking pretty on the screen and dancing for people,” she said. “It was very hard, but I think I put more pressure on it maybe than it had to be…Dancing With the Stars was amazing and I got to do so much with it. But I’m like, OK, that was that experience?”
Kelce also told Maher that she has seen “bits and pieces” of The Traitors, which her husband, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, watches. (Coincidentally, Jason’s mom, Donna, is a rumored contestant on The Traitors season 4.)
When Maher said that she would have loved to go on Love Island if she were younger, Kylie conceded that she watches the show — a new development after she claimed in January that she had never seen an episode.
Kylie mentioned Love Island on the January 23 episode of “Not Gonna Lie” where she told her guest, pop culture expert Amanda Hirsch, that she was interested in starting the series.
“I’m not gonna lie, I am so bad at keeping up with [pop culture] I can’t even put it into words,” Kylie admitted to Hirsch. “I do not watch, really, reality TV. I don’t keep up with celebrity happenings.”
Kylie then innocently asked “what is Vanderpump Rules?” to which an exasperated Hirsch replied, “Oh my God we have work to do.”
“I know that there is, like, a pretty matriarch, dark-haired woman who is the head,” Kylie said, describing Bravo icon Lisa Vanderpump. “That’s all I know. That’s all I got. I couldn’t tell you who else is involved in the show, I couldn’t tell you the woman’s name.”
