Ryu Hye Young Transforms Into An Associate Attorney With A Passion For Gourmet Food In New Drama “Law And The City”
tvN’s upcoming drama “Law and The City” has offered a sneak peek at Ryu Hye Young’s character!
“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
Ryu Hye Young plays Bae Mun Jeong, an associate attorney at the Kyungmin law firm. Despite the bar ethics exam having a 99.9 percent pass rate, Bae Mun Jeong failed and became a lawyer a year later than her peers. She is known for her warm personality and occasional blunt remarks, but underneath it all, she is deeply compassionate.
If there is one thing Bae Mun Jeong is truly passionate about, even though she is rarely seen deeply focused on anything except reading webtoons or napping on the couch, it is finding great restaurants and enjoying lunch. Her daily life, as the de facto meal leader of the five-member group that explores restaurants throughout Seocho’s legal district, is highly anticipated.
Newly released stills show Bae Mun Jeong’s warm and relatable work life. In an office packed with stacks of documents, she is seen doing a duck walk with her phone in hand, creating a moment that is both amusing and slightly pitiful. On days when she arrives late, she quietly sneaks into the office, trying to avoid her coworkers’ eyes.
She is also shown with a bright smile as she meets with clients and winds down with a cup of coffee—scenes many viewers will likely find relatable.
Her charm, driven by a genuine love for both food and people, is expected to capture attention.
