Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has the full support of his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and her family in the bitter feud that continues to divide his family.
As Brooklyn, 26, chooses to distance himself from his family — including his parents, David and Victoria — a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Brooklyn’s mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner, “is encouraging Brooklyn to take the space.”
The insider added that the Peltz family has been “critical of the Beckhams” during the recent fallout, which kicked into overdrive last month.
Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, got married in April 2022.
Nicola is one of eight children shared by Heffner and her husband, Nelson Peltz, whom she married in 1985.
The source explained that Victoria, 51, is “aware that the Peltz family is critical of her.”
When it comes to the lack of communication with Brooklyn, the source said David, 50, and Victoria “went from being sad and devastated to now accepting it and realizing there is nothing they can do.”
“They are done speaking about it,” the source added. “They view it as the way it is now. The ball is in Brooklyn’s court if he wants to make up.”
According to reports, David is set to be awarded the knighthood by King Charles III. In the wake of the historic moment, a second source told Us Weekly that David and Victoria haven’t invited Brooklyn and Nicola to the impending ceremony, which does not yet have a date.
“You can’t attend a high-security event without an invite,” the insider noted.
Brooklyn and Nicola “found out about the knighthood through the media,” but the source said both of them are “happy” for David. (An insider close to the family insists that no invitations have been extended to anyone at this stage.)
“The Peltz family has been an incredible source of support for Brooklyn and Nicola,” the source explained. “Their focus is Brooklyn and Nicola’s happiness.”
Despite the current state of affairs, however, a separate source told Us that David and Victoria “do not see this situation as final and will never give up on their son and having a relationship with him because they love him so much, as do all the family.”
The Beckham family drama came to a head in early May, when Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend David’s 50th birthday party in London.
A source exclusively told Us Weekly that the couple was looking to avoid being in the same room as Brooklyn’s 22-year-old brother, Romeo, and his then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. (Victoria and David also share son Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13.)
Weeks after the birthday party, Romeo and Turnbull, 24, broke up after seven months together.
In addition to Brooklyn’s tension with his brother, “bad blood” between Nicola and Victoria has persisted since Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding, which has caused a further rift between the two sides.
“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” a source told Us last month. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”
