Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce might have had an inkling that their mother, Donna Kelce, would soon be making her way to the Traitors castle.
Hours before Peacock confirmed that Donna was among the potential Faithfuls and Traitors for its star-studded fourth season, the brothers’ “New Heights” X account subtly reposted podcast commentary about mafia-style competition series.
“Dude, you would f***ing crush it on Traitors,” Travis, 35, previously told his older brother on their podcast in a video posted on Thursday, June 12.
Jason, 37, subsequently speculated that he would “be terrible” on the reality TV show.
“I can’t lie [and] you know that,” Jason quipped. “I’m an awful liar. … I did it one time [while] climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and I was the first voted off. Right away, they knew. They’re, like, ‘Jason’s a Traitor.’”
Travis, however, thought Jason’s honesty could work in his favor.
“Sometimes using that to your advantage [is a positive aspect],” Travis said. “It is fun to see everyone have to defend themselves when the entire table is pointing at them, saying they’re a Traitor, and to see how someone reacts under pressure. I f***ing love it.”
He added, “And honestly? I just want to play the game. I do think I’d be better as a Faithful, but I think that I could [be a Traitor].”
The “New Heights” social media team captioned the video, “Reposting this for no reason whatsoever.”
News broke on Friday, June 13, that Donna was among the Traitors season 4 contestants alongside Lisa Rinna, Mark Ballas, Stephen Colletti, Tara Lipinski, Johnny Weir, Colton Underwood, Dorinda Medley and more household names.
Donna reposted the “New Heights” footage onto her Instagram Stories that afternoon, writing, “Mama is in it to win it!”
Donna has become a noted figure in her own right after Jason and Travis — whom she shares with ex-husband Ed Kelce — were the first brothers to compete against one another in the 2023 Super Bowl. (Travis plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, who won the game, while Jason is now retired from the Philadelphia Eagles.)
“Every once in a while, I’ll have somebody that runs into the bathroom after me, and I’m like, ‘Can we wait until we get out of here before you take my picture?’” Donna exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2024 of her newfound fame. “It can be a little unnerving at times, but basically, everybody’s been very, very kind and respectful.”
Donna made her official acting debut in two Hallmark movies the following winter: Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story and Christmas on Call.
