4 Times Episode 7 Of “Spring Of Youth” Made Our Hearts Race And Break
Episode 7 of “Spring of Youth” delivered a rollercoaster of emotions that left viewers breathless. From long-awaited confrontations to quiet heartbreaks, every moment felt layered with meaning. This episode dived deeper into secrets, unresolved tensions, and the ever-complicated bonds between the main friend group. Here are four moments from the episode that made our hearts race and break.

The Crown isn’t ready to accept Tae Yang
One thing viewers expected in this episode was Tae Yang (Lee Seung Hyub) finally joining The Crown, the same group Sa Gye was once a part of before his painful exit. What came as a surprise, however, is the cold reception Tae Yang receives from the members. While a bit of friction was expected, especially since the others have trained and performed together for six years, the level of resentment is intense.
The Crown members believe Tae Yang only got in because of nepotism, given that his father (Kim Jong Tae) is a shareholder in Jo & Jo Entertainment. They don’t say it outright, but their passive-aggressive behavior makes it clear they don’t want him there. From avoiding practice with him to leaving him out entirely, Tae Yang faces resistance at every turn.
Eventually, one member voices what everyone else is thinking: that Tae Yang didn’t earn his spot and is just riding the group’s success. But by the end of the episode, during a live broadcast, Tae Yang proves his talent and leadership. He asks them to stop treating him unfairly, not arrogantly, but with quiet confidence. Even if they still resent the circumstances, his performance might just earn their respect.
TWO SAGYE’s cover of The Crown’s song goes viral
Sa Gye (Ha Yoo Joon) and his friends knew that TWO SAGYE’s cover of The Crown’s latest track would do well, but no one predicts just how viral it will go. Despite initial hesitation after learning Tae Yang officially joins The Crown, the group moves forward with releasing their version. To their surprise, the video racks up over 3 million views within days.
Much of the attention comes from the cover’s unique arrangement, which many praise as better than the official release. What listeners don’t know, however, is that this is actually the original arrangement by Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu) that was changed after Ji Na (Han Yu Eun) stole the song. Even The Crown members themselves comment on the video, calling it the best cover of their song yet.
Riding the momentum, TWO SAGYE reveals their faces in a follow-up video, which brings back some long-lost recognition on campus and reintroduces them to the spotlight they once had.
Kim Bom re-signs Sa Gye
In the previous episodes of “Spring of Youth,” Kim Bom had signed Sa Gye as her first artist. However, Sa Gye later turns her down, both professionally and romantically, claiming he finds it “boring” to date her and be under her label. Of course, the viewers know this is a lie meant to protect her from the truth about her mother’s murder, but Kim Bom doesn’t and gets hurt in the process.
In the latest episode, while Sa Gye is in his room, Kim Bom opens a hidden door connecting their rooms. He’s shocked. She tells him she wants to sign him again, and he agrees. To seal the deal, she gives him her most treasured item, the pendant from her late mother as collateral. “If I don’t pay you later, keep this,” she says. The scene feels tender and subtly romantic while also vulnerable as Kim Bom is opening her heart again to Sa Gye despite their past.
Clue to the mysterious SUV
The infamous SUV tied to the drunk driving case that kills Kim Bom’s mother finally made a reappearance in the recent episode, and this time, its connections are clearer than ever. From the start of “Spring of Youth,” viewers suspected the SUV belongs to the CEO of Jo & Jo Entertainment. But in a shocking reveal, a childhood photo of Tae Yang shows him sitting on the bumper of that exact SUV, implying his father may be the true owner.
The Crown’s manager, still secretly helping Sa Gye, recognizes the vehicle and confronts the CEO (Jo Han Chul), who tries to bribe him into silence. However, the manager refuses and declares he wants nothing more to do with the company. Whether he stays quiet or exposes the truth remains to be seen, but with only a few episodes left, tensions rise and secrets are running out of time.
One thing episode 7 of “Spring of Youth” makes crystal clear is that Tae Yang is never meant to be the villain of this story. Even as the CEO of Jo & Jo Entertainment tries to sabotage TWO SAGYE for his benefit, Tae Yang remains hesitant and deeply uneasy about hurting his friends.
